🤖 Buried Features, Hidden Costs
Google builds tools people want, then buries them under settings nobody asked for. This isn’t just bad UX, it’s corporate hedging: features cost money to run, and defaulting to ‘off’ keeps the balance sheet tidy at the expense of user experience. If you’re Black and tech-savvy, ask yourself who benefits when innovation gets locked behind inconvenience.
🔑 Unlocking Tech For Us
Tech giants like Google profit off Black communities’ data while keeping meaningful features buried in settings most users don’t know to toggle. Accessibility and customization options should be upfront, not hidden, especially when these tools could improve digital equity and everyday tech experiences for us. If you’re paying for the device, why are the best parts locked behind default barriers?
🔎 Hidden Features, Who Dis?
Google Pixel’s best features start off like a secret menu at a restaurant: technically available, but only if you know where to look.
